King, Botox is a far wiser choice than ets. When I was looking into ets about 7.5 years ago botox was very expensive. So thought it not to be practical. Like you I looked into this surgery because of practical reasons. In my situation what was different is I had head injury's that made my hand sweating alot worse. Prior to my head injury's I was fine with my hands. I like you went into this surgery for practical reason's. The difference is the day I first walked out of that surgeons office my gut instinct was telling me STAY away. I dont know how other ets surgeons behave but my thoracic surgeon put the pressure on me like tomorrow. I told him twice i didnt think the surgery was a good idea for me. He persisted and at last pushed me into it ( his reasoning being that he's very busy and it will take up to a year to get surgical date again) so he booked me saying you can always change your mind. Funny I already didnt want the surgery, but he wanted me to book it so I would change my mind into getting it done lol. I live in canada where you would think a more socialist society would be better protected. I believe statistic's are a great thing to look at. The only thing with this surgery is you'll never get to know the truth. So what can you belive??. I'm telling you this if you do this surgery because of practical reason's the side effect's will devastate you if you get them. The health and emotional issue's will destroy you because you never had these prior to ets. Csmess actually used this analogy once. Would you play Russian roulette with a loaded gun if you there was a 40 percent chance of you getting killed. Obviously a far different scenario, but sometimes with ets side effects you might just wish it was either being dead or getting better.
