Sure! If you are experiencing side-effects, esp. those that you were not told about or the doctor mentioned it as an 'old wife's tale thing' that is totally unsubstantiated (but he might have mentioned it anyway just so that he feels safe in case you sue him...), and now you know that there are many others suffering from side-effects, I think you should feel that it is your civic duty/responsibility to report back to the 1/doctor who referred you to the surgeon; 2/the surgeon who operated on you and the 3/ health authorities that monitor the safety of the medical procedures.

If there are enough people who write such letters, they will not be able to have the luxury of blissful ignorance and will be forced to act. We have to ensure that there are not many victims of this damaging procedure, when we know and we can prevent it. Otherwise we are part of the big pervading ignorance and silence that allows for the procedure to be performed again and again.

Ah, I am in preachy mood again...:-)
Best,
Mia
