Hopefully, your hair will not continue to break off or thin out anymore than it already has. Now that mine is at the point where it's gotten really thin on top, I find it much more upsetting than I would have thought. However, there's no point in staying upset, I simply have to find a solution because this problem is not going to go away for me.

So far I've tried a product called Couvre that you paint your scalp with and that helps to hide it. (except when I got caught in the heavy downpour, it really showed through the wet hair because there was this embarrassing painted spot on my head :) ). Everyone could see it :(

Now my next line of defense is a produce called Toppik which are little matching colored flakes that you sprinkle on your hair and secure with some hair spray. I haven't tried this yet but I do have a small container on hand to experiment with. If you get the right color, it will blend in with your hair and make it look fuller. So between the Couvre and the Toppik, I should be able to get away with this routine for a while longer.

When I last had my hair permed, they told me to go to a wig place and get a little hair piece for the top. And they told me not to get the acrylic one but get a natural hair one and they would dye it for me. Of course, did I listen--no. I bought the cheap acrylic one which they fixed on my head very nicely. Until I was out in the sunshine and was horrified when I saw what it really looked like. 8o

Next time I go to a different shop with better lighting. :sun
