Here are a few alternative therapies for HH:
Botox is close to FDA approval in the US for Hyperhidrosis and has received approval already in Canada. Studies show it is effective. Insurance may cover it for you already in the U.S. It is naturally reversable, where ETS is not, and you might really wish it was. Consult a dermatologist.
Secure * www.pharmacy.ca (medicated pads) brand of topical Glycopyrrolate provides local control of sweating in areas such as face and neck, armpits, hands and feet. The pharmacists recommend starting with a low strength and going up if necessary.
Avert * www.pharmacy.ca brand of glycopyrrolate is an oral anticholinergic which is effective in reducing excessive sweating. Always consult your primary care physician when taking prescriptions.
Primary care physicians can prescribe Robinul or Ditropan and there are posts on other forums about this having positive results for HH.
Topical and Non-prescription Products
Topical Aluminum based products - antiperspirants
Mitchum should be available over the counter, at least in the U.S.

This unit is a little uncomfortable (but so is dealing with HH!), but it can work and with some time can be worth the effort. There are units for hands, feet and underarms:

I don't know about alternative therapies for blushing so those who do please share. Blushers should at least see a dermatologist, there are effective laser treatments and medications that can be tried first.
