Bring a tape recorder and friend/family member to all consultations with these "surgeons", so you have a record and witness as to what they say to you.

I did file a medical malpractice lawsuit against George Haasler, the ETS butcher who permanently disabled me.

In a legal interrogatory, as part of the deposition process, he claimed to have told me that there would be sympathetic denervation far beyond the hand area (which was not my understanding) to include the arms.

He never said anything to that effect, only saying that the hand would be free of sweat. He never mentioned anything about the upper torso elimination of sweat, to include all areas above the pectoral (cranium, shoulders, upper back, upper chest). Had I known that any of these areas beyond the hand/underarm were affected, I would have immediately concluded that I personally was at a very high risk of severe compensatory hyperhidrosis and thermoregulatory corruption. Instead, I proceeded, with the understanding that only the hands/underarms would be free of sweat, and that the compensatory sweating risk (which was stated to only affect just over of ETS patients) was the result of this problematic area of sweat production being reduced/eliminated.

Surgeons who injuriously and recklessly advocate and execute dangerous procedures such as ETS must be held accountable for their reckless behavior and their inflicted pain and suffering, both in the forum of public opinion and in a court of law. Unfortunately, when the surgeon lies to cover-up his/her incompetence, it makes it all the more difficult for the injured patient to obtain a just and fair legal remedy.

Sadly, the medical malpractice environment has become so politicized by the insurance companies and politicians that the truly injured patient has an extreme uphill battle against these reckless surgeons. The surgeons know this and are taking full and complete advantage of it!!!

Be aware that in many cases the surgeon's agenda differs greatly from the patient's best interests/agenda, specifically the monetary rewards for surgeons are great and may conflict with the best course of action for the patient. ETS is a very simple, yet highly profitable procedure. Never ever lose sight of their ulterior motives. Many of these ETS "surgeons" do not follow a practice in which they screen and choose patients based upon risk factors such as the possibility of cripppling CS and life-corruptng thermoregulatory comrruption. Instead, they glowingly advocate thisprocedure, give a cursory review of the risks (so they can cover their malpractice liabilty), and then execute these potentially devastating ETS surgeries in herdlike fashion in their ETS surgical factories!!

Also be aware that when the surgeon attempts to cloak his/her incompetence and/or attempts to defend his/her actions by claiming to have nothing but "your (the patient) best interest in mind", it is too late. The damage has already been done. Alleged "good intentions" on the part of the surgeon should never be tolerated as an excuse or as a disguise for rank incompetence. Your healthy body, which is your most important asset in the world, can no longer be recovered once the damage from an ill-conceived and recklessly executed surgery has been inflicted.

Again, for those contemplating ETS who are undecided as to whether or not to proceed, and/or are undecided on which surgeon to use, be aware of the scenario I have outlined, and the misleading and dangerous lack of disclosure on the part of the surgeon and relate this to your own ETS assessment process. Awareness of the deception, naivete, and reckless advocacy by these ETS practitioners may save you a life from pain and suffering the likes of which can only be described as a hell on earth!!!

By having a record of exactly what was told to you, you have documentation prohibiting the surgeon from lying and deceiving, both with respect to the surgery itself, and with respect to any legal actions which may be needed post-ETS.
