Ive been asked to post this on your forum from where I'm usually found over in socialphobiaworld.com by one of your members.
Let me begin are you sitting comfortably
Ive had axillary hyperhydrosis since the age of 13, and it was soooo embarrassing, i just ended up covering up and not going a lot a lot over the summer days. Until i discovered driclour or perspirex which made a huge difference. But now being 28 (15 yrs later) my skin was getting so painful when using the chemical roll ons I decided to go and see my doctor who then referred me to the pain clinic in my local hospital, where after talking with the consultant he suggested surgery. He originally talked about ETS to me and Pulse Radio Frequency Sympathectomy (PFRS), and the down and plus sides of both operations. As both have to do with blocking the T2 T3 T4 ganglia's.
ETS painful dangerous and there cold be side affects CS. But it could work
PRFS slightly more dangerous then ETS as they just go directly into you via your back against your spin in 3 places with a needle to your T2 T3 T4 ganglians but they do not deflate your lung. But side affects again CS (compensatory sweating).but not as obtrusive and painful and easier to do then ETS. This is what I went for
BUT the biggest plus side with PFRS is that it does not destroy your T2 T3 T4 nerves completely because they can grow back more then likely corrected, depending on the person of course, otherwise it blocks them . Its not as obtrusive and painful as ETS as i have seen or read about and with PRFS you are in and out in 20 mins, and the sedation is great
There is not much information on PFRS but if you are considering ETS ask about PRFS instead as an option.
