E-mail to local reporter on Dr. Nielson |
Lead | ||
|
I got sick of seeing Dr. Nielson portrayed on several local news reports as a hero for his "miracle" surgery, so I sent this e-mail to the
reporter...
Mrs. Mouton,
First and foremost, I want to thank you for being a survivor. You overcame cancer and that is a battle that I could not fathom. I also enjoy your
reporting; however, your network has run multiple stories on the local Dr. Nielson and his "miracle" ETS hand sweat "cure" surgery.
I was a patient of Dr. Nielson's and had my surgery back in 2001. At first, I just had problems with the compensatory sweating side effect, but now
I feel that this surgery has ruined my life. There are so many side effects associated with this surgery that far outweigh the benefits and are not
disclosed to patients. It's surgery on your nervous system which controls a lot more than just hand sweat. I now suffer from dizzy spells, chronic fatigue, skin problems,
hair loss, thermoregulation dysfunction (your bodies inability to control it's temperature),
heat intolerance, gustatory sweating (heavy sweating while eating), and back pain just to name a few. I would encourage you to look at some of the
other news reports from other stations on this matter and the forums I have posted below before running another glowing story on him. Not everyone is
happy with what ETS surgery has done to their body and the proof is in the links listed below. Several people on the forum are former patients of Dr.
Nielson's.
Sincerely, Wetboy

I was very happy to read your letter to Mrs. Mouton and hope you will hear back from her. From my computer though, three of the four links that you posted
don't work. It's possible it's only my computer acting up, so please try the links yourself and see if they're good.
I know many have tried writing similar letters but so far not much luck. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you will be more successful. Carole |

I e-mailed the message to myself and all of the links worked so I'm not sure why they don't work when I copy and paste them here. If you give me
your e-mail addy I will e-mail them to you to see if you can open them or you could copy and paste them in your address bar to see if they come
up...

Who is Leslie going to "pass this along" to? Is she from the news station?

Yes she's a reporter on the station who has done a few stories on Dr. Nielson and they've all been positive... Don't know who she will pass it
along to but I don't want to see anymore great stories on his miracle surgery...

Hey there, Wetboy I have moderate hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet and I've done extensive research on ETS talking to doctors, patients etc. Most ets
surgeons who do the surgery for palmar hyperhidrosis dont' even mess with the T2 ganglia and all admit that 100% get compensatory sweaty. I saw on Dr.
Neilson's website that he only said under side effects that 50% of people get compensatory sweating so I wrote him several emails and now under the side
effects part of his website he doesn't say a particular percentage. I also informed him that no body in the field cuts or clamps T2 for palmar
hyperhidrosis and now under side effects he claims that in no way is the T2 area disturbed. This guy is a phony!. He's changed things on his website twice!
after I've repeatedly emailed him. But yet under the tecnique portion he still shows that he cuts the T2 and the T3 to get axillary sweating, it's
clear he doesn't know what he's doing and he's constantly getting pressured or flooded with emails. This guy needs to stop. Hope you get your
story.

10sbud, Good job,.. I have spent the last year trying to get wordage changed on Leon Egozis site. The Florida dept. of Health will not respond to my
questions regarding side-effects mis-information or contradictions, or the use of the word "cure". The wording in Egozis literature will tell you
percentages, then say something like "most" and then turn right back around and contradict themselves more. The Florida dept of Health... Susan
Salamy so everybody knows her name and her lack of responsibility, tells me my information sent down which included five patients of Egozi and many from other
surgeons that my information sent does not show anything and doesn't merit looking into further. What a dumb bitch. She doesn't even address my
questions just gives a blanket statement, and these are the people who are supposedly there to help us. Right And ofcourse my complaint is withheld from the
public now.
I used 3 disciplinary regulations from their site and showed conclusive evidence of Egozi bending and breaking these rules yet they are unwilling to even do a thing. Never once ask me questions, never once asked for clarification of my information. Good job Susan Salamy go home and give yourself a good pat on the back, as you are just another person living the american dream of fucking somebodies life over for your own profits. And when you go to dinner with Egozi, as you all are probably friends order the pasta, it gives you both a greater chance of choking. Rant End,,,,, but good job 10sbud |

What am I missing here? Why would Nielson change his website due to emails received from s10bud/Lee/Surfsider (one and the same person), who
hasn't had ETS and who's hyperhidrosis is moderate? I am finding this beyond strange.

Why you ask might Dr. Nielson changed hs info? Maybe because I told him that Dr. Reisfeld who only does ETS for palmar hyperhidrosis and plantar admits that
everyone gets compensatory sweatng not just 50% which Nielson had on his website before. Plus he could of received tons of other emails saying the same thing.
I noticed that Dr. Garza doesn't even have a website for ETS anymore. These Doctor's are finally getting tired of the negative comments and it's
about time.

And no i haven't had ETS and neither have you if I'm correct Dripping Silver but we still have the right to comment and speak our minds, which is what
this place is for.

I think the whole goal here is for patients to receive the most accurate information they can before deciding to go through with this surgery. They need to see
the whole picture and that's something I've seen and I'm thankful for that. I've informed a lot of other people thinking of ETS to look at
other options that have helped me. ETS should only be considered if you're at the end of the rope a long long long rope.

I'm very happy to learn Garza doesn't have a website any more. Was that due to your work as well?

Garza not having a website is not necessarily a good thing. There is a lot of info out there anyway, but having a website and having to put the info on it
adds a level of accountability to it. It is a reference point. This way he only has the big billboards, I would guess quite effective tool in
advertising....without the warnings....Very convenient. And when the patient turns up in the office, they are charmed into trusting him, before having a
chance to read the doctor's info. (Not that I think he would disclose anything important...) How much info is given during this exchange is questionable,
as we all know, and once the doctor has a rapport with the patient, they are much easier to manipulate. We like to trust people of authority...We are keen to
trust people of authority.

Why do you think Garza is treating varicose veins now? I looked at the website and it seems it was just set up recently. Is he still doing ETS?

It is on the website:
Interest in endoscopic surgery and ETS: With the introduction of endoscopic techniques in this country, Dr. Garza recognized the enormous potential of this new, less invasive surgery. His interest led him to study these techniques in the United States as well as in Europe. He is a pioneer in laparoscopic and Thoracoscopic surgery within his community. He focuses much of his practice on endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy. Dr. Garza has performed over 6,000 ETS procedures. He has also performed over 6,000 other laparoscopic (abdominal) and Thoracoscopic (chest) procedures. He has extensive experience in cardiac (heart), vascular (blood vessel) and open thoracic (chest) surgery. |
