Hi everyone. I am so glad I found this forum. I was considering surgery for plantar hyperhidrosis but after reading about the other surgery, I am thoroughly
against risking my mental/emotional abilities. I am nothing but my thoughts. I see that nothing is ever so easily resolved. I had this two years ago but I
thought it was athlete's foot. It went away over the summer. Two months ago it came back and I, again, thought it was athlete's foot until I went to a
podiatrist. I had to withdraw from college because of this so I am at my wit's end. I have been crying all week. The podiatrist told me it is caused by
stress and gave me Drysol. I tried Drysol for a couple of days but it didn't work so I stopped, and also because my feet were peeling. I also have Lazer
Formalyde Solution from my previous doctor but I don't know how often to use it for. I will try both before seeking a doctor again. I also went to an
eastern medicine doctor and she gave me pills for anxiety/stress/depression. She said I should be better in two months. I don't know if the hyperhidrosis
is indeed related to stress. I don't know what else to do. I am having a terrible time dealing with this, as I am sure everyone can relate. For those who
have plantar hyperhidrosis, what worked for you? It is the odor that is overwelming. And I am thinking of taking Western anti-anxiety drugs. Would those help?
