I had my ETS surgery four years ago through the American Institute for Hyperdydrosis. I would say the first year I didn't have any real side effects. About
the second the third year I started to notice I would sweat when I ate most foods. I now know this to be Gustatory Sweating. Compensatory sweating is not a big
factor as I am not that athletic. I am active, just not athletic. My energy level seems to have been uneffected, but also about in the third year I noticed my
right hand and fingerips become really cold while the left seems okay. Sometimes it gets so cold it hurts. And we are talking in 50 to 60 degree weather, so
nothing really that cold outside. Anyone ever experience this years after surgery? If so, did if ever go away. I do not notice it during summer, but this is
the second winter I have notived just the slightest of cold weather, the right hand goes cold. I am embarrased to even shake hands because people always like
to point that out. So I used to have a blushing problem, now a cold hand problem. I tried to have my clamps removed but was told there was to much scar tissue
and they were not able to remove them. Any one been told this before? Do I have any other options? The cold hand thing seems to freak me out the worst, even
more than the GS and CS. I have no other side effects. Heart beat and body temperature are all normal. I recently had a physical and told I was in complete
good health, so that it is good.
