Hey thanks Jin. I try to remain calm and positive but it's hard you know. I constantly think about how much pain this has caused for myself and others. I
am 35 year old man and never cried so much in the 33 years before this bull-shit. I am not afraid to admit that. The self -resentment really gets to me the
most. All I wanted was to be happy with dry hands. I often thought about stem cells to reverse this bullshit surgery, I know it will one day happen. I
don't when though, it's such a controversial topic and alot of people out there are opposing embryonic stem cell research. I think we should all go to
Washington DC on the hottest day of the year, with our sweaty bodies and demand action against these surgeons. Our voice needs to be heard. By the way, have
you had your clamps removed? Did you get better or worse?

Strings wrote: Strings, I can totally relate to you. I had my surgery in January 2001 by Dr. Nielson (T2, T3) and things just seem to keep getting worse as time goes by. I'm 36 and have never cried so much in my entire life. It got so bad that I am now on Prozac. I'm from San Antonio, TX so it's pretty much hot year round here. First I had to deal with CS then GS really started to kick in this past year so I can no longer eat around anyone and feel comfortable. Now my eyebrows have all but fallen out in the matter of two months. I didn't realize I would get just about every side effect there is and then some that are still not mentioned to potential patients to this day. It was the worse mistake of my life and I think about it and regret it daily. It boggles my mind how these Doctors can hand out Neurological Disorders and pass them off as a cure. I sweat much more now than I did prior to ETS surgery... Some cure... |

Hey Wetboy, I am sorry for all that you are dealing with and I appreciate your empathy. We were all mislead into this surgery. I get so angry sometimes, I
don't know how to deal with it. I feel that I (we) had our trust taken advantage of and I just want to KILL sometimes, but you know the thought of spending
my life behind bars and dealing with this shit doesn't appeal to me. Even these scumbags aren't worth it. Sometimes I think my anger is what keeps me
going. These surgeons will keep digging themselves deeper and deeper for the sake of making money. One day they will PAY, so I call out to all ETS surgeons
everywhere : ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS MOTHERF*CKERS!!!
Also, and don't get me wrong when I say this, but we can't assume that everything that happens to us is due to ETS. I have no doubt that your
eyebrows falling out COULD be from ETS, but you have to rule out any other causes or you will worry yourself sick. I had a friend who suffered Alopecia
Universalis (total body hair loss): http://en.wikipedia.org/w...opecia_areata_universalis at the age of 19. He did not have ETS
done, apparently it was due to an autoimmune problem. I don't know if ETS effects the immune system in that way, maybe. I would see a dermatologist to
determine if this is the cause of your hair loss and maybe they can offer help. If they can't come up with a definitive cause, then I would consider it a
possibilty that ETS caused it.

I have started a letter that I plan to distribute to various media outlets regarding the true nature of this surgery and the deceptive marketing of it. I will submit it for review on this site when I finish it because I refer in it to us ( members of this group, but not names specifically ) rather than just myself. I feel that I should ask the groups permission to do so. If anyone feels this is inappropriate I will change it. I will send it to these outlets 1000 times over if I have to get a response. ![]() I'll help any way i can! just PM me and ask

Hey Wetboy, I have seen the pictures of these individuals on the site. If possible, I would post pictures of your hair loss on here as well. If you are losing
your hair, there are steps you can take to combat the problem no matter what the cause. I can offer you some advice.
You may have to adjust your diet some what in order to do this but try to eat foods that are high in Biotin. Boitin is essential for healthy hair, skin and nail growth. Some good food sources of Biotin are: brown rice, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, walnuts and avoid raw or undercooked eggs. Raw eggs contain a protien called Avidin that binds to Biotin in the body and prevents it from being absorbed. Thoroughly cooked eggs are ok. You can also take supplemental Biotin. I would also take supplemental B-complex vitamins. I recommend the GNC brand Big 150 B-complex. It contains all B vitamins plus Biotin, Choline, Inositol, Pantothenic acid and PABA. or a similar vitamin. Other vitamins that are beneficial to hair growth are: C, E Minerals: Zinc, Copper Supplements: Flaxseed oil, Primrose oil, Salmon oil, Coenzyme Q10, Kelp Also take amino acids L-Cysteine and L- Methionine will help prevent hair from falling out. Take with water or juice. Take on an empty stomach. Do not take with milk or any other liquid containing protein- protein will break down into other constituent amino acids and inhibit absorbtion. I hope this helps. As far as the letter I am working on, it is still in the drafting stage. I will try to finish it as soon as possible and then have it proofread by my girlfriend. She is a proofreader for a public relations firm and is very good at it. It's just that I have alot on my plate right now with the holidays and trying to find employment, going to doctors etc. and it may take a while. Strings

I live in Austin, Texas. I had a bilateral ETS of T2 on July 17, 2002 and I would have to say it is the worst decision I have ever made.

If anybody lives close by, send me an email. I'd be great to meet up and share stories with another ETS survivor, and give each other some support. kugler_321@yahoo.com |

Jim from Chicago here. My life stopped 10 years ago. I had my first ETS done on 5/24/99 here in Chicago. That one failed and I went down to Texas to have
another one done. I made a huge mistake and have been paying for it ever since. Each year it seems the side effects get worse. I have horrible CS and I also
get a bad tingling sensation when I eat certain foods like meat or potatoes. I would give anything to go back to the way I was.
If anyone feels like chatting I can be reached here or at jethaze@aol.com I am coming up on my 10 year anniversary of this horrible experience and feeling very low. :-( Hope to hear from someone, Jim |
