i got a letter today from Texas med board..please spread this to any forum/person you think may be
able to testify.
"compliant has been forwarded to litigation department and is set for a hearing. An informal settlement/conference show compliance will be held for David Hugh Nielson on 12/01/2009. at the offices of the Board located at 333 Guadalupe, Tower 3 suite 610 austin tx.
During this hearing a staff atty will present the facts of case and licensee will be given opportunity to respond. A panel of appointed board representatives will hear the case and make a recommendation to the full board as to what disciplinary action, if any, is appropriate.
although you are not required to do so, the boards rules give you the opportunity to submit a written statement or appear in person for the purpose of making a verbal statement.
If you prefer to submit a written statement, please mail me the written statement to route to the board's representatives at your earliest convenience.Please note---any written statement you wish the board's representatives to consider must be accompanied by a waiver of confidentiality.
your statement and waiver also will be provided to the Doctor as required by law.
if you wish to attend these hearings, please contact me at your earliest opportunity either by mail or phone.Please be advised that while you are permitted to provide an oral statement during the proceedings, you are not allowed to remain during the presentation of other or during related discussions, pursuant to the law.
Also, the board is not authorized to reimburse for travel,meals,lodging, or any other related expense.
