But lowered heartrates, screwed up thermoregulation, severe compensatory hyperhidrosis, wet torso, wet groin and buttocks, wet feet, wet underarms even..... after ETS are not even supposed to be bothersome and the patient is just "intolerant" of the side effects. Selective sympathy-ectomy is what this sounds like to me.
I think some doctors performing sympathectomy have selective Sympathy-ectomy. Their sympathy for patient suffering is abolished [by performing] sympathectomy. Before the surgery sympathy is very lucrative, it means "we care" "we will help". After the surgery sympathy means "I acknowledge your suffering" and that isn't lucrative or good for them. Admitting to post-op severity of side effects, saying "I'm Sorry" won't happen. They simply got what they want [your money] and they really don't want to hear it even if they know that it is documentable and true. They also do not care to report it or admit it officially in stats or testimonials stating regret. But they love the heck out of and parade around the photos and testimonials of the satisfied. Sorta selective-sympathy.
I also think some patients happy with their outcomes after ETS have Sympathy-ectomies. They don't want to hear about the cons, they beat the odds and refuse to think anyone could have problems "since I didn't". Their problems were solved and if anyone having ETS doesn't appreciate it then they are just annoying complainers. I think that it is fear of what could have happened to them after ETS (that they were simply lucky) and that side effects are documented by scientists and doctors to progress and not improve over time scares them. Scared people lash out. It is called "shooting the messenger". Some people get hostile when presented with what they can clearly see is the truth.
